Transparency & Content Moderation

Last updated: June 2026

This page describes how Short-site handles content moderation and platform safety, in accordance with the EU Digital Services Act (DSA).

1. Who we are

Short-site is operated by Short-site, Romania. Contact: support@short-site.com. Short-site is a small platform (fewer than 45 million monthly active users) and is not classified as a Very Large Online Platform under the DSA.

2. What content we host

Short-site hosts seller-created storefronts containing product listings (text, images, prices, contact details). Stores are private pages shared directly by sellers — they are not publicly searchable or indexed by search engines.

3. Prohibited content

The following content is prohibited on Short-site:

  • Illegal goods or services
  • Adult services or sexual content
  • Weapons, drugs, or controlled substances
  • Counterfeit or stolen goods
  • Content that facilitates fraud or scams
  • Content targeting minors inappropriately
  • Hate speech or content inciting violence

The full list is in our Acceptable Use Policy.

4. How we detect prohibited content

  • Automated keyword filtering: store names, descriptions, and product titles are scanned against a blocklist of prohibited terms when content is created or edited.
  • User reports: any visitor to a public store can submit a report via the "Report this store" button. Reports are reviewed manually.
  • Manual review: reported content is reviewed by our team typically within 48 hours of receipt.

5. How we handle reports

When a store is reported:

  • The report is logged with the reason provided and reviewed by our team.
  • If the content violates our policies, the store is hidden or deleted.
  • If the content does not violate our policies, no action is taken.
  • We aim to review all reports within 48 hours. Complex cases may take longer.

6. Appeals

If you believe your store was removed in error, you may appeal by emailing support@short-site.com with the subject line "Appeal" and your store URL. We will review and respond within 5 business days.

7. Single point of contact

For DSA-related inquiries, including notices from EU authorities, contact us at support@short-site.com. We communicate in English and Romanian.

8. Transparency reporting

We will publish an annual transparency report covering the number of reports received, actions taken, and appeals processed once our platform reaches sufficient scale. This page will be updated accordingly.
