Terms of Service

These Terms are a general template provided in good faith. They are not legal advice. Please have a qualified lawyer review them before relying on them for your business.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Short-site, available at www.short-site.com (the "Service"), operated by Short-site ("Short-site", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract to use the Service.

2. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential and for all activity that happens under your account. Notify us at support@short-site.com if you believe your account has been compromised.

3. What Short-site is (and is not)

Short-site lets sellers publish a simple public store page listing products. Short-site is not a marketplace: we do not process payments, hold funds, ship items, verify sellers or buyers, or otherwise take part in transactions. Any sale, payment, delivery, or in-person meeting is arranged directly between the seller and the buyer, at their own risk.

We never send payment links on behalf of sellers. Trust only URLs on www.short-site.com followed by the seller's store path.

4. Acceptable use

You agree to use the Service in compliance with our Acceptable Use Policy. We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate it.

5. Sellers

If you publish a store, you also agree to our Seller Agreement, including that you own or have the right to sell every item you list and that your published contact information is accurate.

6. User content

You retain ownership of the content you upload (store details, product descriptions, images). You grant Short-site a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, and display that content solely to operate and provide the Service (for example, to render your public store page).

7. Plans and lifetime slots

The free plan includes a limited number of lifetime product slots per store. Slots are consumed when a product is created and are not released when a product is deleted. The current paid plan unlocks an additional store for a one-time payment of $4.99 per store, which includes 50 lifetime product slots. Payment is processed by Stripe; by purchasing you also agree to Stripe's Terms of Service. All payments are final — once a store is unlocked and product slots are allocated, no refunds are issued. If you believe a charge was made in error, contact support@short-site.com within 14 days.

8. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, logos, and trademarks, is owned by Short-site and protected by applicable laws. You may not copy, modify, or create derivative works of the Service except as expressly permitted.

9. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, the Acceptable Use Policy, or the Seller Agreement, or if required by law. You may delete your account at any time from your Account page.

10. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. Short-site does not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, and is not responsible for the conduct of any user or third party, including disputes between buyers and sellers.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Short-site will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Service.

12. Indemnification

You agree to defend and indemnify Short-site against any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your content, your transactions with other users, or your breach of these Terms.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by Romanian law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. The competent courts of Romania will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, unless mandatory consumer-protection rules in your country of residence provide otherwise.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the Service or by email. Continued use after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
